Overview
Sloan Mechanical Services is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Sales Representative. This position supports the growth of our existing customer/contract base. Direct sales experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a background in the HVAC industry. This position reports to the President.
Responsibilities
As a Preventive Maintenance Sales Representative you will be responsible for:
Pursuing Preventive Maintenance Agreements leads generated by New Business Development Representatives and assisting in nurturing new clients into long term customers
Surveying customer sites to determine the customers’ relevant HVAC maintenance needs
Assessing the labor and material resources required to support customer maintenance through use of maintenance estimating software
Generating Preventive Maintenance Agreement proposals for the maintenance of a wide range of HVAC equipment
Following up with prospective customers to ensure that they understand their maintenance agreement and the maintenance process and execute the Preventive Maintenance Agreement
Working productively and creatively with the service sales and operations group
Maintaining and nurturing new and existing customer relationships
Maintaining positive communications with all Sloan Mechanical Services Divisions to facilitate growth and opportunity for our company and our associates

Overview
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, performs daily tasks required to support the current and potential customer base and service technicians. Prepares reports as requested. Interacts with existing customers, primarily by phone, to insure timely dispatching of technicians. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Responsibilities
This position supports our service team by performing the following functions:
Maintain computerized dispatch software system
Maintain job and contract folders
Generate, mail and file invoices in a timely manner
File reports and invoices
Schedule manpower taking into consideration the expected complexity of the job versus the experience and capabilities of available technicians
Prepare payroll and timesheet audit, read technician service reports
Order parts, order and track tools, schedule vehicle repairs
Maintain tracking systems and various databases
Interact with employees, customers and vendors
Other duties may be assigned as necessary
Essential Skills & Requirements
HVAC knowledge and dispatching experience a plus
High School Diploma
Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Strong database and computer skills including: MS Word and Excel; Timberline Service Dispatch Software a plus

Service Technician

Primary Role
With safety being top priority, service technician will be responsible for operating, repairing, and maintaining equipment including: HVAC equipment, building control system, systems involving electric and pneumatic air flow, water flow, gas/electric heating and cooling equipment, boilers, valves, apparatus and lines used in the distribution of heated, chilled or processed water, computerized building management system, variable frequency drive units, and computerized Maintenance Management System.
Essential Duties & Requirements
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction
Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products.
Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Assists in ordering parts to order for repairs
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including time, progress, parts used, equipment serviced and work completed.
Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.
Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms above head for long periods of time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb ladders. Knowledge of brazing, cutting, pipe fitting, sheet metal skills and maintenance electrical service
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment.
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration.
The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
